There is a new app available for the iPhone call ShootLocal that I feel is being very much overlooked. This new app has potential to network new locations with photographers faster than anything else I know!
This app allows iPhone users to sign up and become part of a network that allows you to post photos and geographically mark where you took that photo. You can add descriptions, tags, and even reply to others that post photos as well. It seems to be such a great idea and great way to network with photographers you have never met before and share photo locations on a mobile device. You can even search for locations that have been tagged near you geographically if you are looking for something close by. Seems like it would be a great tool when you are in a new place looking for a perfect location or in a bind.
I am excited to see this app community continue to grow and evolve!
Feel free to follow me under the username @kineticbear within the ShootLocal App!
Right now they are even holding a competition for students to submit photos and win a Canon T3i and other prizes as well!
Head over to www.shootlocalapp.com to check it out!
You can find the ShootLocal app here with some more details and screenshots : http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/shootlocal/id496021173?mt=8
