This is one of those ‘must see before I die’ places. Photographer Boguslaw Strempel has conquered the mountains of Poland and the Czech Republic to capture this majestic collection of sunset mountain photographs.
It was a very lucky find. The famous Puffing Billy was dormant as engineers meandered with spanners and rags, twisting valves and polishing weathered copper. Coal was burning, steam was bellowing and the sun was just breaking through the clouds.
This year’s competition did not run without controversy. The winning photo was disqualified for excessive photoshopping.
