No matter how many times I see them, Tiny Planets still astound me. Here I’ve compiled 27 of the coolest Tiny Planets from the web. I’ve only chosen the best of the best. Each one made me go wow, and hopefully they’ll do the same to you.

You can also make your own Tiny Planets using this tutorial here. They’re actually really easy to make!

Wow, thanks for using my ‘octopussy’ planet here.

But most of the planets here are not made by the method shown in the tutorial. The tutorial uses the polar coordinates, most planets are stereographic projections.

gadl on flickr has a good explanation in his planets set:

i think so too because you can only do the tiny planet in 2 dimentions if you use polar polar coordinates. But these pictures really make me go ‘wow’. Thanks a lot :)

hi, im a pinoy, and im not really good in english hehehe. i just want to ask, how can i do this tiny planet without the shrinking like effect in the middle of the planet image, like the last image here, it seems the picture is continues, there’s no effect of the image shrinking in the middle. thanx.
